TERM 4 - MAT TO LIFE
Simple foundational practices on and off the mat that support the life you're living.
What if your practice didn't need to take up more space in your life — but could actually help you create more space?
What we practice on the mat has a way of changing the way we see ourselves, the way we experience our bodies and the way we respond to the world around us.
As our awareness deepens, we begin to recognize our patterns, our needs and what helps us return towards balance.
And naturally, we may begin to discover that there are many simple practices that can support us in everyday life.
This term brings together the threads of Yoga, Ayurveda, nervous system support and our relationship with nature and biology, exploring how these different perspectives can lead us towards the same place — greater balance, inner steadiness and a deeper sense of connection with ourselves and the life we are living.
Through asana, pranayama, meditation, Svadhyaya and simple practices we can take beyond the mat, we'll explore how small changes, woven gently into everyday life, can have a meaningful cumulative effect.
You don't need a complicated routine.
You don't need to find more time.
Your practice can become a way of creating more space for the life you're living.
THE 6-WEEK JOURNEY
In Person series
WEEK 1 — THE PRACTICE BECOMES LIFE
What does our Yoga practice have to teach us about the way we meet everyday life?
We'll explore awareness, presence and Svadhyaya, and begin to notice how the practice on the mat can influence the way we respond, choose and move through the world.
WEEK 2 — SLEEP & REST
Rest is not something we have to earn.
We'll explore simple practices that support sleep and rest through the lenses of Yoga, Ayurveda, nervous system awareness and our natural rhythms — including light, daily ritual and creating a gentle transition from doing to being.
WEEK 3 — MOVEMENT FOR LIFE
Our relationship with movement changes as we change.
We'll explore how asana can support mobility, strength, balance and a healthy relationship with our bodies throughout life, while learning to recognize when our bodies need movement, stillness, energy or rest.
WEEK 4 — NATURE, LIGHT & RHYTHM
We are not separate from the natural world.
We'll explore simple ways of working with our environment and our biology — including morning light, hydration, time in nature, grounding and daily rhythm — and how these can support balance and wellbeing.
WEEK 5 — MEETING LIFE'S CHALLENGES
Life will inevitably move us.
Using the practices we've learnt throughout the year, we'll explore how asana, pranayama, meditation and self-study can support us when we're feeling challenged, overwhelmed, restless or disconnected.
The invitation isn't to avoid life's fluctuations, but to learn how to return.
WEEK 6 — MY PRACTICE FOR LIFE
We'll bring everything together.
Rather than creating another complicated routine, we'll explore what your body, mind and life respond to — and begin creating a simple collection of practices you can draw upon in your everyday life.
A practice that can meet you where you are.
YOU DON'T NEED TO HAVE DONE THE PREVIOUS TERMS
Yoga isn't linear.
We each arrive at the practice from a different place, and what we're ready to receive changes as we change.
You don't need to have participated in Terms 1–3 to join this series.
The teachings in this term stand on their own, while also weaving together many of the practices and perspectives we've explored throughout the year.
Perhaps this is your beginning.
Perhaps it is a return.
Perhaps something you've practiced many times before is ready to meet you in a new way.
Come exactly as you are.
WHAT YOU'LL TAKE WITH YOU
Not another complicated wellness routine.
Instead, a deeper understanding of yourself and a collection of
simple, foundational practices that you can actually weave into your everyday life.
You may discover a different way to begin your morning.
A simple breath you can return to.
A movement practice for the days when you don't have an hour.
A way of supporting your sleep.
A deeper understanding of your own tendencies.
A renewed relationship with nature.
A moment of stillness when life feels full.
And, perhaps most importantly, a growing awareness of what helps you return to yourself.

WANT TO GO DEEPER?
THE SADHANA CONNECTION
If you'd like to take these teachings beyond the weekly practice,
The Sadhana Connection offers a deeper space to explore and integrate them into your own life.
This is where we slow down and look more closely at you.
Through deeper teachings, reflection and personalized coaching,
we'll explore how the practices from each week relate to your own constitution, patterns, nervous system, lifestyle and needs.
Rather than simply being given more practices, you'll be supported to discover
which practices are right for you, when you need them, and how to make them sustainable in your actual life.
The Sadhana Connection is the place to go deeper, ask questions, receive guidance and be supported as the teachings become your own.
